Dunkerque. Well it’s better than Calais

A day in dunkerque. Lovely.

Saw the little ships beaches. All walkways and nice restaurants now so big improvement on 1940.

Last time I was here was with MVS escorting the Little Ships commemorative crossing but we didn’t visit the actual beach.

There is a nice large park of sculptures. Probably spending up the UK’s final pre-brexit  contribution to the EU. This fish may be the only thing they remember us by in the future.

Also an old anchor recycling facility

In typical French style we saw this vending machine on the outside wall of a chemist. Impulsive lovers so they say. No pre-planned ‘something for the weekend’ here !! Or perhaps just a sign of a pessimistic outlook !

Two recurring questions.

If the French have a space programme why can’t they install a decent shower?

And why do their sheep look like this??

Found this. It says ‘degustation’ which means good for you doesn’t it! Time will tell.

Neuport tomorrow!! Or possibly Ostend !
