I should never have shot that albatross

Yesterday. Shore day. Sunny, lightish winds, very pleasant.

Today. Sailing day. Awoken by howling wind in the rigging and rain on the cabin roof!!

So though the wind is now SW which is much better and means the end of this lee shore and with limited fetch, much smaller waves, it’s still cold, wet, too windy and miserable.

Also the inshore forecast has red lines all round the UK which is never a good sign.

So looks like another day ashore and perhaps the tram ride to Oostende.

I’m afraid if you were all waiting for a blog about Holland you’ll have to wait a little longer 🙁

Alternatively…..

We might already be in Holland and imagining all this whilst slumped in a grubby booth in a coffee shop after saying ‘I’m sure the cheaper stuff will be just as good’
