Corona Madness

After a walk along the canal into Chichester, somehow avoiding the family of swans and signets that had taken up residence right across the footpath and seemed keen to defend their territory, it was soon time for a meal with the motor boating friends.

However we discovered that the Boat House Cafe has a kafkaesk ordering system where you can only order from the app which you have to download from their WiFi. It took 45 minutes (really) for the app to download, quite a bit of time to navigate the pop up ads and to finally place the order!

Then, as you probably can guess the app crashed!

We finally resorted to the archaic method of going to the bar and speaking to someone.

Fortunately this old system didn’t crash and we eventually got our food… delivered to our table! If they can deliver the food to the table why can’t they take the order at the table might seem an obvious question!

While we were struggling with the app we saw at least two tables abandon the whole thing and get up and leave and before we knew it 9pm had arrived and they came to say they were closing!

So not exactly the relaxed dining experience we had hoped for. Don’t think I’ll bother with there again.

Here’s a great boat
