Windscoop Mk 2 is finally finished and is working well !

All those sweat shop hours, sewing my fingers to the bone, have finally paid off.
Mark 2 is simpler and a big improvement over Mark 1.
It’s a brighter colour too!

It catches the wind from any direction and stuffs it down the hatch – so no having to adjust it as the wind or the boat shifts
Here it is in action https://youtu.be/1ols2S35AUc
So I just need some hot weather now…
Just a few more weeks and I’ll be swinging in some remote anchorage, lounging below decks and tucking into Champagne and Strawberries with a cool breeze wafting through my hair!
Actually it worked pretty well today – even at 7 degrees – at drying everything out and getting some fresh air circulating round all the lockers…
Hmm – that’s quite possibly going to be it’s main use for Solent 2021 !

Well done David. Hot weather on the way. Not sure about it blowing through your hair 🤣🤣😊👍. Coffee soon 🤞🤞

What a great idea! We are in Singapore and it’s always hot but we also get heavy downpours. I’m thinking how I can adapt your idea to catch wind but stop rain getting in! Very cool (excuse the pun)

Hmm a but more difficult. If I come up with anything I’ll let you know. But at least the through draught would dry you off afterwards 😂
