Where Did That Go!

What a great summer of 3 months drifting round the Solent and catching up with Family and Friends.

Time goes by surprisingly quickly and pleasantly when you really have nothing to do and nowhere in particular to be!

It’s all very of Tales of the Riverbank… Toot Toot!

I really should have documented it at the time as I can’t remember it all now I’m back home opening the bills and adding up all those credit card receipts.

I can quite understand why Bernard Moitessier couldn’t face it and just kept on sailing – and though the Polynesian Islands are perhaps more of a draw than Yarmouth… the Isle of Wight isn’t without it’s moments!

So now it’s all cold and autumnal and the 32 degrees of July seems a long way away…

Which means it’s time for the end of year jobs and the main one was replacing the crazed forward hatch

Actually it wasn’t as bad a job as I expected and the new perspex makes a real difference

It’s a bit cold and miserable for any long distance sailing now but that leaves plenty of time for planning next year’s adventure. It looks like Europe is going to be difficult for a while yet, but that just moves the Round Britain Plan a little nearer to the top of the list 🙂
